 Classic Horror is Universal

Left: When lightning strikes Glenn Strange, he always strikes back. Here's a striking photo from ABBOTT AND COSTELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN.

Below: A beautiful portrait of Boris Karloff from THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN.

After becoming a star in OF MICE AND MEN Lon Chaney, Jr. decided to branch out into horror roles, and he brought his own branch with him. Here he is in his most famous fright film, THE WOLF MAN.

James Cagney had some big shoes (and a big hump) to fill when he played Lon Chaney, Sr. in the movie based on his life. Right now Jimmy's probably wondering which is worse - being chained to a wheel and whipped or having to endure the hours of make-up required to simulate Chaney's appearance in THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME.

How uncanny can 'e be? Karloff the Uncanny cans another 'un as THE MUMMY. He posed for this suitable for framing 3-D picture just before he went for a little walk.
