Bela's Beards

logo.jpg

Bela Lugosi wasn't known for wearing heavy make-ups in his movies. Except for a few films, the actor relied on his own striking features to convey menace or mystery. However, occasionally moviemakers supplemented Lugosi's peculiar presence with an array of beards, goatees and other facial fuzz. Bela takes it on the chin as we present the Battle of the Bela Beards. Do you prefer the shaggy shepherd Ygor, or the dashing Doctor Bennet? Which one looks best? Only you can answer this hairy question.

Just call him Bela LuGoatee. Two examples of a bearded Bela as he appeared in THE INVISIBLE RAY (1936) and VOODOO MAN (1944).
